Location

Located in the heart of the scenic Chippewa Valley, Chippewa Falls is conveniently and centrally situated between a number of large population centers.  Our location combines the best qualities of rural life with all the advantages of being close to the largest retail and entertainment hubs in the Midwest. Chippewa Falls is less than 90 Miles from the Twin Cities Metro Area and less than 200 miles from Madison.

Quality of Life

Along with being home to a strong and prospering industrial base, Chippewa Falls also provides a variety of social and cultural amenities that make the community a desirable place to live and play.  Our historic downtown is one of the best in the state and still serves as the commercial heart of the community.  Strong civic organizations such as Chippewa Falls Main St. (see list of awards to the right), the Chippewa Falls Chamber of Commerce and the Chippewa County EDC all play an active role in supporting a diverse array of community events and activities.

Wisconsin also takes great pride in maintaining one of the best educational systems in the nation.  High school seniors from Wisconsin consistently have the highest overall SAT/ACT rankings in the nation, and the Chippewa Area School District is no exception.  Chippewa Falls is also home to Lakeland College and the Chippewa Valley Technical College, along with being well served by UW-Eau Claire and UW-Stout.  Both Universities are within ½ hour of Chippewa Falls and offer over 17,000 students quality graduate and undergraduate educational programs.
